Piston Insecticide

Piston is a broad-spectrum insecticide-miticide from Atticus containing 21.4% chlorfenapyr, the same active ingredient used in Pylon. Chlorfenapyr (IRAC Group 13) affects energy metabolism in mites and insects and works through contact and ingestion, while translaminar movement carries it to the leaf undersides where mites feed.

Piston is labeled only for ornamental crops and fruiting vegetables grown in commercial greenhouses. It is a key tool for thrips management, controls nymphs and adults of many mite families and provides residual control for 14 to 21 days.

• Ornamental crops grown in commercial greenhouses
• Greenhouse fruiting vegetables such as peppers, eggplant, tomatillo and tomatoes (not tomato varieties with mature fruit under 1 inch)
