Puts a wired substrate sensor onto the Aranet PRO wireless network. Transmitter only - sensor sold separately.

The Aranet Wireless Transmitter enables wireless operation of a wired substrate sensor. It connects to the sensor through an M8 4-pin A-code connector and, as part of the Aranet PRO sensor series, transmits readings over Aranet Sub-GHz ISM band radio to an Aranet PRO or PRO Plus base station. Two versions are offered, one for the Growlink Terralink and one for the METER Group TEROS 12. Aranet states plainly that the sensor itself is not bundled with either - this is the radio module on its own.

Plug the transmitter M8 connector onto the sensor cable and hand tighten the locking nut. Pair within 20 m (60 ft) of the base station: open SENSORS in the base station web interface, set the measurement interval, select PAIR SENSOR, then within two minutes insert or replace the AA battery or press the PAIRING button on the board. Successful pairing shows the sensor in the web interface plus one to three short LED blinks and a long fade out. Name it, close the casing and install. Once paired it operates at up to 3 km line of sight.

Relays volumetric water content 0 to 100 percent (plus or minus 3 percent), bulk EC 0 to 23 dS/m, temperature -40 to 60 C (plus or minus 0.5 C) and dielectric permittivity 1 to 80. Battery life 7.2 years alkaline / 10.7 years lithium at a 10 minute interval. Cable 1 m PVC, 5 m probe extension available on request. Aranet documents compatibility with the Growlink Terralink only.
• For METER TEROS 12 - part number TDSPHTU2.010 (US920). Relays volumetric water content 0 to 100 percent (plus or minus 3 percent), bulk EC 0 to 20 dS/m (plus or minus 8 percent of reading), temperature -40 to 60 C (plus or minus 0.5 C) and permittivity 1 to 80. Battery life 6.6 years alkaline / 9.5 years lithium at a 10 minute interval. Cable 1 m black PVC, 5 m extension is part number TDACHT02.050. Connector pinout is pin 1 power, pin 2 SDI-12 data, pin 3 ground, pin 4 unused. Compatible with the METER TEROS 12 only - Aranet does not list TEROS 11.
