Orthene Turf, Tree and Ornamental 97 Spray is a soluble insecticide containing 97.4% acephate, an IRAC Group 1B organophosphate that works by inhibiting acetylcholinesterase in the insect nervous system. It controls a broad range of sucking and chewing insect pests on ornamentals, trees and turf.

The product is dissolved in water and applied as a spray to ornamental plants, trees and shrubs, nursery stock and turf. Greenhouse use is limited to commercial greenhouses growing ornamental, floral and foliage plants, making it a practical tool for professional nursery and greenhouse insect programs.
