BLACK LABEL x KEYSTONE SAFETY collaboration - disposable PPE

Now Available: The Full Keystone Safety Line of Disposable PPE

We are excited to announce a new partnership with Keystone Safety, a long-standing manufacturer of disposable protective apparel. Coveralls, lab coats, aprons, sleeves, hairnets, beard covers, face masks, and shoe and boot covers are now available from BLACK LABEL by the case. That means one source for the PPE your team goes through every day, ordered alongside the rest of your facility's supplies.

Whether you run a single grow, a post-harvest and packaging operation, an extraction lab, or a multi-state footprint with a central procurement team, this gives you a single, consistent PPE program to stock against.

Who Is Keystone Safety?

Keystone Safety is the protective apparel line of Keystone Adjustable Cap Company, based in Pennsauken, New Jersey, and in business since 1925. Its catalog runs to more than 200 disposable protective products, used everywhere from pharmaceutical and electronics manufacturing to remediation work and agricultural spraying.

Keystone builds its line around a range of nonwoven and film materials, so you can match the garment to the job instead of paying for more protection than a task needs, or settling for less.

Why PPE Matters in Commercial Cultivation

In a commercial facility, disposable PPE does more than keep clothes clean. It is part of how you protect the crop, the product, and the people:

  • Pest and pathogen control. Shoe covers, hairnets, and coveralls at room entry help keep powdery mildew spores, mites, and soil-borne pathogens from traveling between rooms and sites.
  • Product purity. Hairnets, beard covers, sleeves, and lab coats in harvest, trim, packaging, and extraction support the GMP and sanitation practices that auditors and regulators expect.
  • Worker protection. Barrier garments for mixing, sanitation, washdown, and crop protection applications reduce skin contact with nutrients, cleaners, and other chemicals.
  • Consistency across sites. Standardizing on one PPE line makes training, SOPs, and reordering simpler for every location.

Choosing the Right Material

Keystone garments come in several materials, each suited to different work:

  • Polypropylene (spunbond). Lightweight, breathable, and economical. A good fit for dry, low-hazard work such as room entry, visitors, trimming, and general dust and debris.
  • Laminated polypropylene. Polypropylene with a polyethylene coating, adding resistance to light liquid splash while staying lightweight.
  • SMS. A three-layer spunbond-meltblown-spunbond fabric that balances breathability with a stronger barrier than single-layer polypropylene, comfortable for longer shifts.
  • Keyguard microporous. Keystone's microporous polyolefin fabric, for a higher barrier against fine particles and liquid splash while still letting the garment breathe.
  • Polyethylene, PVC, vinyl, and latex. Waterproof films and rubbers for wet work: mixing, washdown, sanitation, and any task where staying dry matters most.

Always follow the PPE requirements on product labels and safety data sheets and your facility's own safety program when choosing garments for chemical handling or application.
