That tip puts the gun in a 0.5 to 2.0 gpm band with a reach of about 6 m, which is the general purpose setting for greenhouse and nursery work off a Hydra. The tip is what you change when the job changes, and Dramm stocks 0.8 mm (No. 2), 1.5 mm (No. 4), 2.0 mm (No. 5), 2.5 mm (No. 6) and 3.0 mm (No. 8) orifices; flow and throw both climb with orifice size, from 0.3 to 0.5 gpm at 0.8 mm up to 3.0 to 7.0 gpm at 3.0 mm.
