dramm-drip-irrigation-stake
Dramm - Drip Irrigation Stake

Drip Irrigation Stake

A drip stake anchors the end of a leader tube in the container and puts the water where the root ball is. Dramm builds it three ways: a plain Barbed Stake that only holds the tube and passes whatever the emitter delivers, a Labyrinth Stake with a moulded flow path in the inlet arm, and an Easyclean Labyrinth Stake that moves that flow path into a threaded section of the stake body so it can be taken apart and cleaned. Dramm states the labyrinth builds create back pressure to even the flow from multi-outlet drippers, which is the whole reason to pay for one. Every build takes a barbed inlet for Dramm 0.191 in leader tube and Dramm lists all of them at 4 in.

Choose on Type first. Barbed Stake is the plain build with no flow path in it, for the case where one pressure compensated emitter feeds one container and the emitter is already metering the water; Dramm offers this build in the 45 Degree Angle inlet only. Labyrinth Stake adds the moulded labyrinth to the inlet arm and is the build for multi-outlet work, where one emitter is split through a two or four way manifold and each leg needs back pressure to deliver the same volume into every pot. Easyclean Labyrinth Stake does the same job but carries the labyrinth in a threaded section of the body, so when algae or mineral deposits close it up you unthread it, rinse it and twist it back together instead of pulling the stake; Dramm calls for 100 micron (150 mesh) filtration ahead of it, gives it multiple water exits along the top of the stake, and states it works with any standard multi-outlet drip irrigation system. Then choose Angle. Straight puts the barb in line with the stake so the leader tube drops vertically into the pot; 45 Degree Angle turns the barb away from the stake axis so the tube can come in over the rim from the side, which is what you want when the lateral runs beside the container rather than above it.

Specifications

Type

Barbed
