dimlux-xtreme-series-nir-far-red-uv-a-add-on-bar
Dimlux - Xtreme Series NIR (Far-Red) + UV-A Add-On Bar

Dimlux Xtreme Series NIR (Far-Red) + UV-A Add-On Bar

The Dimlux Xtreme NIR + UV-A add-on is a supplemental high-power LED bar with two independently adjustable channels: far-red (NIR, 670-760 nm) and UV-A (370-405 nm). It is designed for seamless integration with the Dimlux Xtreme Series LED fixtures and is listed by Dimlux as an optional add-on for the Xtreme MKII, with a built-in controller and light sensor, a patented wide beam ultra high transmittance lens and passive thermal management.

Independent channel control lets operators mix the right amount of far-red and UV-A at any point in the crop cycle, for example raising UV-A gradually as the crop develops or adding far-red at the start of the night period. The bar runs on 120-277V AC with daisy-chained power and Interlink connections, so multiple units can run from a single outlet, and it can be controlled by the Dimlux Maxi Controller or third-party controllers. The manufacturer notes it also fits other fixtures with 5 cm (1.97 in) beam spacing and support arms 72 cm (28.34 in) apart for the 70W or 108 cm (42.51 in) apart for the 140W, or it can be hung standalone.

Available Options

70w - 50W far-red + 20W UV-A LED; 123 umol/s far-red and 31 umol/s UV-A photon flux; 72.5W input at 230V

140w - 100W far-red + 40W UV-A LED; 247 umol/s far-red and 62 umol/s UV-A photon flux; 156.1W input at 230V

Key Features

Dual-band LED with separately adjustable far-red (NIR) and UV-A channels

Patented wide beam ultra high transmittance lens

Built-in controller with light sensor; works with the Dimlux Maxi Controller or third-party controllers

Daisy-chained power and Interlink connections; firmware upgradeable by Wi-Fi or Interlink

Built-in spirit level for horizontal adjustment

AC input 120-277V, 50/60 Hz; 70W draws 0.65 A at 120V / 0.27 A at 277V, 140W draws 1.3 A at 120V / 0.56 A at 277V

Total harmonic distortion below 10 percent; passive thermal management

Operating temperature 0-40 deg C, non-condensing

70W coverage: 100 x 100 cm (40 x 40 in) at min. 50 cm (20 in) or 120 x 120 cm (4 x 4 ft) at min. 60 cm (2 ft)

140W coverage: 120 x 120 cm (4 x 4 ft) at min. 60 cm (2 ft) or 150 x 150 cm (5 x 5 ft) at min. 75 cm (2.5 ft)

Dimensions per manufacturer drawings: 70W 778 x 80 x 108 mm (30.6 x 3.1 x 4.3 in); 140W 1106 x 80 x 108 mm (43.5 x 3.1 x 4.3 in)

IP50; certifications CE, UL 8800 and UL 1598 Wet Location

Photobiological safety IEC 62471 Risk Group 2 - caution, UV emitted

Lifetime L90 over 50,000 hours; 3-year standard warranty

Ideal Applications

Adding far-red and UV-A to Dimlux Xtreme Series LED installations

Upgrading compatible multi-bar LED fixtures from other brands

Standalone supplemental far-red and UV-A lighting in commercial indoor cultivation rooms

End-of-day far-red and staged UV-A programs in controlled-environment agriculture
