dimlux-digital-temperature-sensor
Dimlux - Digital Temperature Sensor

Dimlux Digital Temperature Sensor

The Dimlux Digital Temperature Sensor measures ambient air temperature for Dimlux lighting control. Connected to the Dimlux Maxi Controller, it lets the controller dim the lights based on room temperature: when the set value is exceeded the lights dim first, if the temperature keeps rising half of the dimmed lights switch off, and if it still continues to rise all lights switch off for at least 20 minutes.

Together with the Dimlux humidity (RH) sensor and plant temperature camera, the temperature sensor supplies the readings the Maxi Controller needs to calculate and display vapor pressure deficit (VPD). On Dimlux Xtreme LED MKII fixtures the sensor plugs into the fixture's OUT2 port with its attached cable and the reading is shown across all connected fixtures. Hang the sensor out of direct light, roughly halfway between the fixture and the crop.

Available Options

5 m (16.4 ft)

10 m (32.8 ft)

Key Features

Ambient air temperature sensor for Dimlux lighting control

Temperature-based dimming and staged shutdown with the Dimlux Maxi Controller

Required input, with the RH sensor and plant temperature camera, for Maxi Controller VPD calculation

Connects to the OUT2 port of Dimlux Xtreme LED MKII fixtures; value shown on all connected fixtures

Measurable range -40 to 125 deg C (Xtreme LED MKII manual)

Attached communication cable in 5 m or 10 m length

Ideal Applications

Dimlux Maxi Controller lighting installations

Dimlux Xtreme LED MKII fixture networks

VPD monitoring with Dimlux RH sensor and plant temperature camera

Over-temperature protection in commercial indoor cultivation rooms
